Privacy Policy
How Laser Defense Lab ("this site") handles information about visitors and members. Every article can be read without signing in, and membership is optional.
1. Information collected
- When you join: the email address of your Google account, a sign-in identifier, the time you joined, and the version of the privacy notice you agreed to
- When you agree to the newsletter: whether you agreed, when, the version of the wording, and when you withdrew
- When you email us: your email address and your message
- Browser storage: your sign-in state and screen theme (light or dark). These stay in your browser and are used only to run the site.
2. Purpose of use
- Identifying members and keeping them signed in
- Sending the newsletter (only to members who agreed; sending has not started yet)
- Replying to messages
3. Retention and deletion
- Member information is kept until you leave, and is deleted at once when you do.
- After you leave, a record of the Google sign-in link (email, identifier) may remain in the sign-in system (Supabase). To have it deleted too, email us and it will be deleted.
- Messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and follow up, and are deleted on request.
4. Newsletter consent
- The newsletter is optional. Joining and reading are not limited if you do not agree.
- The check box starts empty. Only a box you tick yourself counts as consent.
- The newsletter carries news of new articles on this site.
- You can withdraw at any time on the "My account" page. Each consent or withdrawal is confirmed on screen right away.
5. Outside services and processing abroad
- Supabase: sign-in and storage of member information
- Google: sign-in (Google account)
- Cloudflare: hosting of the site
- These providers are based outside Korea, so information may be processed abroad while they provide their service.
- Member information is never sold or given to third parties, except when the law requires it.
6. Your rights
- Members can see their information, change newsletter consent and leave on the "My account" page.
- You can ask to see, correct, delete or stop the processing of your information by email. Requests are handled promptly after checking.
- People under 14 cannot become members.
7. Cookies and visit analytics
- This site uses no visit analytics tools and no tracking cookies.
- Browser storage is used only to keep you signed in and to remember the screen theme.
- If this changes, this policy will be updated before the change.
